We live with our two children and a dog in the Rhine valley in Switzerland. A few years ago I (Heiko) inherited the old estate from my father, who grew up in the Brandenburg region. After reunification the estate was in poor condition.
With a lot of time and love, together with my father and local craftspeople, we had the estate restored naturally and ecologically. This is how four charming and cosy holiday apartments came to be.
Willi grew up in the region (in Sadenbeck). After the war he had to flee west with his mother and siblings. Until reunification he lived with his wife Edith and son Heiko in Ulm. After reunification Willi bought the estate back, returned to the Prignitz and worked to preserve it. After passing it on to Heiko, the idea was born to turn the estate into an oasis of calm for holiday guests. And here we are.
Embedded in nature lies our lovingly restored holiday estate. The listed property comprises 4 apartments for 2–6 people each. With charming details, carefully restored original elements and modern furnishings, it is an oasis of calm. It sits in Helle/Gross-Pankow, one of Germany’s last “Rundlinge”.
The listed estate was originally built in 1821 and, after a long restoration with natural materials, is finally complete. The clay walls added after the core renovation create a special feel-good climate.
We’re happy to fulfil all your wishes, as far as we can. Since Switzerland is quite far away, we can’t be on site very often ourselves. But Willi – the “guardian of the estate” – is always happy to help. We also have friendly helpers on site who keep an eye on things and are glad to be there for you.
